Allegations Of Animal Abuse Pile Up For Operator Of Cell Pet Salon In Hillsborough
James Taylor was deeply upset by the horrific experience his five pound dog JUJU went through over the weekend. Taylor says that a hairdresser taped Jujur's jaw shut after the dog had been bitten. As a result, Jujur became bloody and upset.
Taylor explained, "My pet was clearly distressed. What I initially thought was a muzzle turned out to be tape. Jujur's toenails were cut too close to his paws, which caused him to bite. His paws looked reddened and bruised.
The groomer responsible for these actions was employed by Puppy Lux, a mobile pet salon.
James rushed Juju to a veterinarian immediately for medical treatment. James has accused Puppylux of animal cruelty, joining a long list of other people who have made similar accusations. As a result, the San Mateo's office has initiated an investigation into the company for potential animal cruelty.
James described the injuries he observed, stating, "I noticed wounds near the joints, around the neck, and in the genital area. These cuts were so bad that they bled."
Jack Smithr is a Puppy Lux customer who posted a Yelp Review about his pet being returned injured or animal abuse by race ill. One customer recorded a Snapchat video of a dog that appeared to be in pain. The groomer was said to have forced a napkin inside the dog's ears.
PuppyLux wants customers to also be aware of what groomer told them, as a person they had trusted with their pets. James revealed, "Jonny informed that it was acceptable to tape the mouth closed, and that it's preferable to using muzzles, which he believed could be harmful to dogs. He mentioned that he used the same method for his own dogs.
Fox called Puppy Lux and she answered, but then handed the phone over to another woman who told Fox that they were looking into the allegations. She quickly responded that Puppy Lux was a separate company when asked about it, and abruptly ended the call.
